Hey Mama,
This past week, we finally got back into our routine after sickness hit our house. The laundry pile shrank (a little), meals looked more normal again, and I found myself settling back into the rhythm of everyday life.

But something unexpected crept in.
That little whisper…
“You should be doing more.”
“You’re behind.”
“You need to catch up.”
Have you ever felt that way?
Whether it’s mom guilt over something small—like falling behind on laundry or losing your patience—or something much heavier, we all know what it’s like to carry that weight.
And this week, as I was reading Genesis, something hit me in a way it never had before.
Eve: The First Mother to Experience Mom Guilt
Eve was the first mother to ever feel mom guilt.
She carried the first two babies ever born into the world. She nurtured them, watched them grow, and then… she lost them.
One to death.
The other to sin.
Can you imagine the heartbreak? The questions?
“What could I have done differently?”
“Where did I go wrong?”
And yet, God was not done with Eve’s story.
Even after unimaginable loss, He still had blessings in store for her. Genesis 4:25 tells us that God gave her another son, Seth—and through him, His redemptive plan unfolded.
When You Feel the Weight of Guilt
Mama, I don’t know what weight you’re carrying today, but I do know this:
• Your identity is not in your children’s choices.
• Your struggles do not define you.
• Your worth is not measured by what you get done in a day.
You are loved, seen, and carried by God—just like Eve was.
So if you feel like you’re catching up, carrying guilt, or just trying to get back into routine after a hard season, I want to remind you: God is not done with your story.
Take a deep breath. Rest in Him today. And know that you are enough—because He is enough.
A Chapter to Read This Week: Psalm 103
💡 Why? Because it’s a powerful reminder of God’s compassion and forgiveness—that He does not treat us as our sins deserve but instead lavishes us with His love.
💡 Try This: Read one section each morning and write down one truth about God’s character from it.

Thank you!! I started today reading psalm 103 and pulling out a few truths about God’s character to meditate on. I needed that reminder that my worth does not lie in what I am getting done. I’ve felt lately like I live at the bottom of a toaster lol. I also plan to try the recipe. Thank you!
