When Motherhood Feels Like Constant Interruption
Some days motherhood feels like accomplishing everything in five-minute pieces.
You start the laundry. Someone needs help. You answer an email. The baby cries. You begin dinner. Someone spills something. By bedtime, you’re exhausted—and somehow still wondering what you actually accomplished.
But maybe we’re measuring the day by the wrong standard.
The interruptions aren’t always keeping us from our work. Sometimes they are the work God has placed in front of us.
A Simple Reset for an Interrupted Day
When the day starts unraveling, ask yourself:
1. What actually needs to happen today?Choose the few things that truly matter.
2. Who needs me right now?People are more important than productivity.
3. What can wait without guilt? Not everything unfinished is a failure.
Then take the next faithful step.
You don't need a perfectly productive day to have a faithful one.
“Whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord.” — Colossians 3:23
Today’s reminder: Faithfulness over productivity.
